International branding consultancy MILDBERRY and Russia’s Dozhd TV have launched a joint project called LAVOCHKA in Hyde Park. Organizers invite top Russian designers to decorate park benches with traditional themes – anything from Diaghilev's "Russian Seasons" to the great Soviet avant-garde.
A competition for the best bench design will be held beforehand – the top three winners will get to paint actual park benches. Dozhd TV will make broadcasts of the benches in the heat of summer to viewers in Moscow.
Participants need only download a sketch of the bench, design and upload it to a special site before July 3. The winners will be announced on July 4. The authors of the best designs will paint benches in the studio of Dozhd TV, after which they will be transported to London on July 7.
