Follow the link to learn moreA Progress M-17M resupply spacecraft carrying cargo for the crew of the International Space Station has successfully separated from the third stage of a Soyuz-U launch vehicle and is heading toward the ISS, the Russian Federal Space Agency Roscosmos told Interfax-AVN.
"The Progress' separation from the rocket's third stage passed nominally. The spacecraft has been successfully placed into a low near-earth orbit and headed for the space station," a Roscosmos spokesperson said.
The Soyuz-U carrying the Progress spacecraft was launched from the Baikonur Space Center on Wednesday morning.
