Transaero’s Technical Department employs 2,000 engineers, including 220 at the Vnukovo MRO station.

Transaero trains technical specialists for Boeing 737NG and Boeing 373 Classic at its own certified center. Trainings for all other types of aircraft (Boeing 747, Boeing 777 and Boeing 767) is carried out by authorized training centers abroad, including FL-Technic, Israel’s IAI and Lufthansa.

In 1996 Transaero was the first Russian airline to receive US FAA certification for independent maintenance of aircraft manufactured in the USA.
