M-Day: Honoring the Russian capital with a U.S. expat

The list of events included a play about the life of aboriginals, a reconstruction of the Battle of Borodino, and a tasting of “space pilaf” – surely no less impressive than the list of Russia’s most bizarre festivals.

In the company of our friend, U.S. expat Justin Varilek, we sampled all the entertainment on offer in the capital. Instead of conclusions, expect fireworks.
