Construction worker killed in accident in Sochi

March 10, 2013 RBTH, Interfax

Eight workers fell from the seventh floor of an apartment building under construction in Sochi on Sunday, and one of them was killed in the accident, a spokesman for the Krasnodar territorial emergencies services told Interfax.

"The accident occurred in the center of Sochi at 12:15 p.m. One of the eight workers who fell off unsafe scaffolding, died," he said.

The seven others sustained injuries and they are in serious condition.

The accident is under investigation.
