Energomash concludes contract with U.S. on delivery of 20 RD-180 engines

The Academician Glushko Energomash research and production enterprise (NPO) and the U.S. company RD Amross concluded an additional agreement to their contract on the delivery of engines in December 2015, the Energomash press service said on Dec. 24.

"To the year of 2019 inclusive, NPO Energomash will deliver another 20 RD-180 engines to the United States to be used as part of the first stage of Atlas 5 launch vehicles," a report posted on the Russian company's website says.

According to it, in 2015 Energomash "fulfilled all its commitments as part of the contract, delivering the planned number of RD-180 engines to the U.S."
