The Russian Prosecutor General's Office decided to recognize undesirable in Russia the activity of one more U.S. non-governmental organization - the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs.
"Having studied the materials, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office decided to recognize undesirable in Russia the activity of a foreign non-governmental organization, the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs," says a statement posted on the Russian Prosecutor General's Office's official website.
The activity of the organization poses a threat to the foundations of the Russian constitutional system and state security, the agency said.
"The information about the taken decision was submitted to the Russian Justice Ministry to put the said organization on the list of foreign and international non-governmental organizations, whose activity is recognized undesirable in Russia," the agency's press service said.
