Follow the link to learn moreThe Syrian Kurds must be involved in the Geneva negotiations as representatives of a federative region formed in northern Syria, head of the representative office of the Syrian Kurdistan democratic self-government to Russia Rodi Osman has said.
"We insist that our new autonomy be represented in the negotiations, because it speaks for Kurds, Arabs and Assyrians and they have a draft solution for the Syria crisis. This draft sees Syria as a democratic and federative state," he told reporters.
These do not have to be representatives of the Democratic Union party, he said.
"In order to resolve the Syria crisis, the negotiations should not be limited to two sides. It is important that the negotiations are multilateral, because they are discussing the future of Syria," Osman said.
