Speaking to Interfax on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 16, Churkin said the settlement process in Syria sees "great concentration of efforts, including negotiations and cooperation between our and U.S. military to bring this conflict to an end."
"This is precisely what my hope is based on, and a lot of other people share it in hoping that decisive progress could be made in the near future in settling this conflict. It would be good if this could happen by the end of this year," Churkin said.
