The Russian government invites all countries to carry out joint research in Russia, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said on Oct. 2.
Speaking at the opening of the Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum in Kyoto, Dvorkovich said: "The Russian Federation is open for the global scientific community, ready for maximum cooperation with other countries at academic and industrial levels."
"On behalf of the Russian government, let me invite scientists from all countries to carry out joint research in Russia," said Dvorkovich.
The deputy prime minister stressed that Russia "has a competitive scientific potential, is an indispensable part of the international community and is integrated in the global innovational eco-system."
The Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum opens in Kyoto on Oct. 2.
Over 1,500 scientists, political and public leaders from more than 150 countries will take part in the forum.
Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich heads the Russian delegation to the forum.
