Russian President Vladimir Putin will celebrate his 64th birthday with his relatives and friends, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Oct. 6.
"The president will celebrate his birthday and no public events are planned for tomorrow. But he will receive international phone calls and congratulations. Therefore, he will somehow discuss certain substantial issues. The heads of state always do this," Peskov said.
He added that Putin will spend his birthday with "relatives and friends."
Putin was born on Oct. 7, 1952 in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg).
Last year the Russian leader celebrated his birthday playing hockey in Sochi.
