In an interview with Russia's Channel 1 television, broadcast in the Vremya news feature on Wednesday evening, Cameron, when asked if any positive shifts had emerged after his recent talks with President Vladimir Putin in London, said that he thought relations were improving and that it manifested itself in closer ties and broader bilateral trade and mutual investment.
As for the "Litvinenko case", Cameron thinks that it should not have a negative impact on relations. At the same time, he added that there had been no progress on the Livinenko affair and that it remained a deterrent.
The premier acknowledged that his recent meetings with Russian leaders had improved the atmosphere of relations. He said he was content with his visit to Moscow and with President Putin's visit to London and had always been on good terms with Dmitry Medvedev.
