Hello, dear readers! Did you know that many people in Russia relax in their country houses during the May holidays? Today we will be speaking about the way we spend our free time at the dachas.

Разгова́ривают Серге́й (С.) и На́стя (Н.), сотру́дники.
Sergei and Nastia are speaking. They are colleagues.
(Н.) - Серге́й, а что́ вы с семьёй де́лали в ма́йские пра́здники?
(N.) - Sergei, what did you do with your family during the May holidays?
(С.) - Мы бы́ли на да́че, как всегда́.
(S.) - We went to the dacha, as always.
(Н.) - А по како́му направле́нию у тебя́ да́ча?
(N.) - And in what direction is your dacha situated?
(С.) - По Ки́евскому, 81 (во́семьдесят оди́н) киломе́тр.
(S.) - In the direction of Kiev, 81 kilometers from Moscow.
(Н.) - Вы на электри́чке е́здите?
(N.) – Do you get there by train?
(С.) - Что́ ты, мы уже давно́ маши́ну купи́ли!
(S.) – Not really: we already bought a car long ago!
(Н.) - Я да́же не зна́ла, что у вас да́ча есть! Дом кирпи́чный и́ли деревя́нный?
(N) - I did not even know you had a country house! Is it a brick or a wooden house?
(С.) - У нас ста́рая да́ча, двухэта́жный деревя́нный до́мик, уча́сток ма́ленький - то́лько шесть со́ток, зато́ у нас коло́дец есть пря́мо на уча́стке, о́чень удо́бно! Ря́дом - сосно́вый лес и Москва́-река́.
(S.) - We have an old dacha, it is a two-storey wooden house, the parcel is small, only six acres, but the well is located directly on the site. It is very convenient! There is also a pine forest, and the Moscow river is next to the country house.
(Н.) - А чем вы там занима́лись?
(N) - And what did you do there?
(С.) - Как всегда́: му́сор убира́ли, расса́ду посади́ли, парник поста́вили...
(S.) - As always, we picked up rubbish, planted the seedlings and put a greenhouse ...
(Н.) - Что́ же, не отдыха́ли совсе́м?
(N.) - So, you didn’t relax at all, did you?
(С.) - Ну почему́: в лес ходи́ли, костёр развели́, шашлыки́ жа́рили, чай на террасе пили... А вы что де́лали на выходны́е?
(S) – Yes we did! We went to the forest, lit a campfire and grilled shashliks, drank tea on the terrace ... and what did you do this weekend?
(Н.) - У нас да́чи, к сожале́нию, нет, поэ́тому мы с друзья́ми реши́ли организова́ть пикник в Филёвском парке: взя́ли бутербро́ды, пи́во; о́чень весело было, отли́чная компа́ния собрала́сь!
(N) – Unfortunately, we do not have a dacha, so my friends and I decided to have a picnic in the Filiovski park: we took sandwiches and beer with us. We had fun in a good company!
(С.) - Приезжа́йте летом к нам всей семьёй, схо́дим в лес за гриба́ми и́ли за земляни́кой, костёр разведём, пе́сни бу́дем петь под гита́ру!
(S.) - Come visit us this summer, you and the whole family. We will go to the forest to pick mushrooms or strawberries, we will light a campfire and sing songs playing the guitar!
(Н.) - С удово́льствием! А мы в ию́ле в Каре́лию пое́дем, с пала́тками, вы с на́ми не хоти́те?
(N.) - With pleasure! And we are going camping to Karelia in July. Would you like to come with us?
(С.) - Нет, мы всё ле́то на да́че, де́ти ещё ма́ленькие. Но спаси́бо большо́е за приглаше́ние!
(S.) - No, we will stay all summer at the dacha: the children are still too small. But thank you very much for the invitation!
(Н.) - Тебе́ спаси́бо! С пра́здниками и хорошо́ отдохну́ть!
(N.) - Thank you! Happy holidays and have a good time!
