The November 7th Mine (‘Seven’ in vernacular) is one of the oldest coal enterprises of the Leninsky mining camp in Leninsk-Kuznetsky. It owes its creation and development to the first five-year plan for the Soviet Union’s economic development (1928-33). Kuzbass is one of the largest coal mining areas in the world. It lies in the Kuznetsk Depression between Tomsk and Novokuznetsk in the basin of the Tom River.

The November 7th Mine (‘Seven’ in vernacular) is one of the oldest coal enterprises of the Leninsky mining camp in Leninsk-Kuznetsky. It owes its creation and development to the first five-year plan for the Soviet Union’s economic development (1928-33). Kuzbass is one of the largest coal mining areas in the world. It lies in the Kuznetsk Depression between Tomsk and Novokuznetsk in the basin of the Tom River.
In order to rapidly industrialize the USSR, the first five-year plan set the task of nearly doubling coal mining.

Rapid construction of new coal projects started in the Kuznetsk Basin, or Kuzbass, which was supposed to be a raw material base for metallurgical giants being built in the Urals and Siberia, while active mines were reconstructed.

Construction on the Baikaimskaya coal mine, which had a design capacity of 250 thousand tons per year, began in 1929. The first coal was extracted in May 1930. In November 1931, the undertaking’s name was changed to the November 7th Mine upon a request by the organization’s workers in honor of its first anniversary.

Construction on the Baikaimskaya coal mine, which had a design capacity of 250 thousand tons per year, began in 1929. The first coal was extracted in May 1930. In November 1931, the undertaking’s name was changed to the November 7th Mine upon a request by the organization’s workers in honor of its first anniversary.
The 1960s through the 1980s can be considered the mine's "golden period".

In 2009, 2,950,000 tons of coal were extracted from the mine. By this time, the company had successfully transitioned to drift mining. In order to reach the remaining reserves, the company obtained the Polish-made Tagor bottom-hole assembly, a German-manufactured Eickhoff SL-500 combine, as well as German-produced transportation equipment.

The November 7th Mine is developing the Leninsk-Kuznetsky coal deposit. Most of the deposit is located within Leninsk-Kuznetsky's city limits.

The mine has been completely conveyorized. Conveyor lines run a total of eight kilometers.

The Shtrekenkuli-800 rail manufactured by the Sharf company and the Ferrit company's rail and monorail tracks are used as auxiliary transportation.

The risks of coal dust explosions and gases from mining are extremely high, however, there is no risk of spontaneous combustion.

An accident occurred at the November 7th Mine on October 12, 1950. As a result, 48 people perished. On April 15, 1985, coal dust exploded, killing 9 people.
