Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Nicholas Maduro on winning the presidential elections in Venezuela, the Kremlin press service has reported.
"Vladimir Putin said he is convinced that Venezuela will continue strengthening its strategic partnership with Russia under Nicholas Maduro and confirmed his readiness for further development of constructive dialogue in the entire range of bilateral and international issues in the interests of the two countries and peoples," the report says.
According to official information, Maduro has won the presidential elections in Venezuela.
