Some 20 people detained in St. Petersburg center

The police have detained some 20 people for attempting to violate public order in central St. Petersburg.

"A group of individuals numbering about 20 people attempted to break public order in Dvortsovaya Square where an authorized public event was taking place. The police averted this attempt. The individuals were taken to a police station," Interfax was told at the city police.

The question of bringing administrative charges against the detainees is being decided, he said.
