The Russian and U.S. presidents may discuss the Magnitsky list, missile defense, the Syrian crisis and economic cooperation on the sidelines of the G8 summit in Ireland on June 17-18, State Duma International Affairs Committee Chairman Alexei Pushkov said.
"There have been no official reports concerning the possible subjects of negotiations between U.S. President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin but one may presume these will be primary subjects. The situation in Syria will top the list, and I think they will touch upon missile defense," Pushkov told a press conference in Moscow on Monday.
"Relations may improve" if Russia and the United States find a common language in missile defense, he noted.
"I do not rule out discussions of the Magnitsky list and economic cooperation, as the Russian market is important for the United States," Pushkov said.
