"No deaths have been reported. Six of the 76 injured passengers have been hospitalized. The rest are receiving medical attention at the scene. None of the injured passengers is in serious condition," the source said.
Five cars derailed and turned onto their sides, he said. "Policemen have cordoned off the scene of the accident. They are aiding victims and patrolling the passengers' property to prevent looting," he said.
The Emergency Situations Ministry reported earlier that five cars of 19-car Passenger Train No.,140N, travelling from Adler to Novosibirsk, went off the track on the stretch between Kislyakovskaya and Krylovskaya in the Krasnodar Territory at 5:08 p.m. Moscow time.
A ministry spokesman confirmed on Rossiya-24 television that no one was killed.
