"The president has demonstrated strong resolve to prevent this. I have no doubt that this will indeed be so, however the situation may develop further," he told reporters on Friday.
Asked whether Russia's position on anyone's extradition to other countries has changed, he said, "We have never surrendered anyone and we will never do so in the future."
Peskov also said that the situation surrounding Snowden will not affect the schedule of President Vladimir Putin. "You can see by the president's schedule that he has not given it up for the sake of keeping an eye on Snowden," Peskov said.
