Follow the link to learn moreAt the International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS-2013) in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region, the state-owned Rostec holding and the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS) signed a framework agreement defining the scope of their strategic cooperation.
The assistant director of Rostec, Dmitry Shugaev, signed the document for the Russian side, and the head of EADS International, Jean Pierre Talamoni, signed for the European company.
The parties agreed to cooperate in assembling turboprop aircraft, developing aviation biofuels from environmentally clean raw materials and manufacturing titanium products, as well as partnering together to develop high-tech defense equipment. The signed agreement has no termination date.
"This is not the first year that Rostec and EADS have cooperated. I am sure that our fruitful interaction will continue and will lead to the completion of a large number of specific projects in the high-tech industry," said Shugaev.
"We are very glad that the relationship between Rostec and EADS is not limited just to purchases and sales, but is developing in many directions. We are creating joint ventures, organizing research together and sharing advanced research results in high-tech fields. However, we are confident that the potential of this cooperation is not yet exhausted, and we will make every effort to ensure that our relations reach a new level — the level of a strategic partnership," Jean Pierre Talamoni said in turn.
