Follow the link to learn moreThe Russian Supreme Court has upheld the verdict handed down to Pussy Riot punk group singer Yekaterina Samutsevich, who got a two-year suspended sentence for staging a performance in the Christ the Savior Cathedral.
"The complaint has been turned down," says a statement posted on the Supreme Court's website.
Samutsevich had sought a reversal of the verdict, passed by Moscow's Khamovnichesky Court.
Two Pussy Riot singers Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina were jailed for two years for staging a performance in the Christ the Savior Cathedral on February 21 2012.
Samutsevich got a suspended sentence.
