"Newest camera models - spider-cams, rail mounted cameras, cameras mounted on snowmobiles - will be used to film the 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Games; videos will also be filmed from a helicopter and an airship," a source from the Sochi 2014 organizing committee told Interfax on Monday.
About 120,000 equipment pieces, 10,000 radios, 1,600 cameras, 5,000 television sets and 20 displays will be used during the Games. "Some 535 television specialists from ten regions of Russia will be working on the national broadcast," the organizing committee stressed.
A total of 11,000 employees of television and radio companies licensed to broadcast Games will arrive in Sochi.
"The Games will have a television audience of no less than 3 billion," the organizing committee said.
Journalists at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi will be able to take photographs and shoot videos for their own personal use without having to worry about loss of accreditation, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced this week via the Russian news agency R-Sport. Read more>>>
