Follow the link to learn moreDemonstrations in support of Russian-speaking residents of Crimea held in six Russian cities on Tuesday had a total turnout exceeding 38,000.
The demonstrations took place in cities of the Volga region, Siberia, Central and Southern Russia all day long. Leaders and members of public and veteran organizations and proactive people joined the actions, press services of regional police departments told Interfax.
The police estimated the total turnout at 38,500. The demonstrations were held in Voronezh, the city of Balakovo in the Saratov region, Kostroma, Rostov-on-Don, Irkutsk and Volgograd.
The demonstrations were calm and orderly.
