Follow the link to learn moreThe number of Ukrainians willing to stay in Russia long-term is rising fast, the Federal Migration Service (FMS) told Interfax on Tuesday.
"The number of Ukrainian citizens who contacted the Federal Migration Service in Moscow alone for the purpose of a long-term stay in Russia, has increased sevenfold," an FMS spokesperson said.
There are increasingly clear signs of a humanitarian disaster in Ukraine, FMS chief Konstantin Romodanovsky told reporters on March 19, responding to a question posed by Interfax.
"As an indicator: the number of elderly people and children entering the Russian Federation from Ukraine has doubled," Romodanovsky said at the time.
