U.S. introduces bans on high tech supplies from Russia

The U.S. Department of Commerce has announced stiffening measures foreseeing bans on issuing licenses for high tech supplies, which could enhance Russia's defensive capacity, the White House said in a statement on Monday.

The Department of Commerce also annulled existing licenses for high tech supplies to Russia and introduced additional restrictions regarding 13 out of 17 Russian companies listed on the additional sanctions list. These measures demand a denial presumption in regards to licenses for export, re-export and other supplies to abroad.
