Follow the link to learn morePascal Cuttat, chief of the International Committee of the Red Cross's delegation for Russia, has visited the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's camp to inspect relief aid for southeastern Ukraine, the ministry said on its website on Sunday.
"Pascal Cuttat was satisfied with what he saw and reaffirmed the ICRC's readiness to continue formal procedures to clear the cargo into Ukraine. The relief aid is to be cleared by Russian and Ukrainian officials jointly with ICRC representatives at a border checkpoint," the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry said.
"The International Committee of the Red Cross has generally confirmed Russia's compliance with the ICRC standards applied to humanitarian convoys," it said.
Cuttat discussed the situation in detail with representatives of the Russian humanitarian convoy, viewed the motor vehicles and the cargo, and inspected the volunteer drivers' living conditions, the Emergency Situations Ministry said.
