Follow the link to learn moreThe ceasefire mode in Donbas will be maintained despite the shelling of Ukrainian positions, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (SNBO) has promised.
"Stopping the ceasefire mode is out of the question at the present moment," deputy director of the SNBO information and analysis center Volodymyr Polevoy said at a Sunday briefing.
He said that the Ukrainian military observe the terms of the ceasefire in full. However, there were individual instances of shooting at Ukrainian forces by the militia in the past 24 hours.
For instance, the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian facilities came under fire near Mariupol and also at Donetsk airport.
