"Petro Poroshenko has given his permission for the use by the OSCE of unmanned aerial vehicles, and Didier Burkhalter promised to deliver them to Ukraine in the very near future," the Ukrainian president's press office said on Saturday.
The two politicians discussed aspects of the work of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, in particular, its monitoring of the ceasefire in Donbas.
"To ensure strict compliance with the ceasefire the OSCE chief promised to send more inspectors with relevant experience to Ukraine, who will conduct monitoring in most troubled places," the statement said.
