Follow the link to learn moreThe Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) has decided to move the date for launching a British telecom satellite Inmarsat-5F2 from January 30 to February 1, a Roscosmos source told Interfax-AVN.
"At the request of the customer, the British satellite communication systems operator, the launch date has been moved to February 1 for technical reasons related to preparations of the British satellite," the source said.
Earlier reports said the launch date might be adjusted.
A Proton-M rocket with a Briz-M upper stage will carry the Inmarsat-5F2 satellite to orbit from the Baikonur space center.
Inmarsat-5F2 is the second of three fifth-generation Inmarsat satellites built to provide communication services in North and South America and the Atlantic area.
The first satellite of the series, I-5, was successfully launched by a Proton-M rocket in December 2013.
