Follow the link to learn moreSpecial Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met with Qadri Jamil, President of the Syrian Popular Front for Change and Liberation, on Saturday, the Russian Foreign Ministry has reported.
"The meeting highlighted the situation developing inside and around Syria with an emphasis on the task of deterring the terrorist threat that comes from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group and the soonest political settlement of the Syria crisis on the basis of the Geneva Communique dated June 30, 2012," the report said.
