"There is a universal principle of the trilateral accord: the handing side, the receiving side and the convict. If Savchenko is convicted, the issue will be discussed. But I am not speaking in specific, factual terms, I don't know if she will be convicted," Konovalov told reporters in Yalta, responding to a question from Interfax.
"From the point of view of jurisprudence, yes, it can [happen], if this decision fits the existing bilateral agreements and formats," the minister said, responding to a question from Interfax about the possibility of Savchenko's handover to Ukraine.
