"It was decided to expand the mission, now this issue is being discussed. In the buffer zone it will be more acceptable than on our territory along the contact line. If we manage to pull back the weaponry completely, including from the Ukrainian side, the round-the-clock presence of the OSCE mission will be more reliable for observing and building up peace," Minsk DNR negotiator Denis Pushilin told reporters.
He also said that the issue of creating OSCE bases in Yenakievo, Debalcevo and Horlivka was being discussed. "The issue of bases is being coordinated," Pushilin said.
OSCE SMM Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug told reporters on Saturday evening that within the next 24 hours the OSCE SMM will open a new office in Horlivka.
He also assessed the work of the OSCE mission in the DNR as satisfactory. "The OSCE mission performs the role of mediator between the two conflicting parties. I assess the OSCE work as satisfactory on the whole," he said.
