The effort to collect DNA samples from relatives of victims of the air crash in Egypt continues, by now DNA samples have been taken from 147 people, Vice Governor of St. Petersburg Igor Albin has announced.
"DNA sampling continues. This work has been done with 147 relatives already," he said to reporters on Sunday.
A Russian airliner carrying 224 passengers and crew crashed in Egypt's Sinai peninsula on Saturday.
The Airbus A 321, operated by Russian airline Kogalymavia, was flying from the Sinai Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to St Petersburg in Russia when it went down in a desolate mountainous area of central Sinai soon after daybreak, the aviation ministry said.
