Follow the link to learn moreRepresentatives of travel agencies, tour operators and concerned federal executive authorities on Nov. 10 met with Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, who chairs the government operation headquarters in charge of handling issues relating to the suspension of flights with Egypt, the government said on its website.
"By now, around 40,000 tourists have returned to Russia," it said.
The meeting attendees discussed possible measures to support companies which sell package tours involving the air transportation of Russian citizens from Russia to Egypt. It was noted that efforts will continue to calculate exactly how much support is needed; its types will also be determined. "We want to support the industry and make the decision in the coming days," Dvorkovich said.
