"Absolutely contradictory recommendations have been issued to the state: on the one hand, we have been advised not to interfere in the anti-doping affairs, and on the other, they are accusing us of not changing the system very actively and influencing WADA. So, am I supposed to not interfere or actively influence?" Mutko said.
The report provides a lot of room for political conclusions, he said.
At the same time, Mutko said, "We will certainly consider whatever concrete things the report contains today. If our measures are insufficient, we are willing to keep on working. I outlined this position yesterday both to the WADA president and the president of the International Association of Athletics Federations."
