Moscow offers condolences over the recent execution of hostages from several countries, including China, by ISIS gunmen.

"Certainly, we offer condolences, including to those families whose relatives were executed, assassinated by ISIS gunmen," spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said at a press briefing in Moscow.

She replied as such to a journalist's request for comment on the execution of a Chinese citizen by ISIS gunmen.

"We saw this information and are maintaining dialogue with our Chinese colleagues, including over the issues of the anti-terrorism fight," she said.

Zakharova said that Russia "does not differentiate between any countries and any country which is ready to cooperate on this issue will only be welcome."
