Operation in Syria exposes problems in using air-launched cruise missiles

Russian strategic bombers have faced some problems using cruise missiles in the course of the ongoing operation in Syria, Russian Long-Range Air Force Deputy Commander Maj. Gen. Anatoly Konovalov said in an interview on the Echo of Moscow radio station on Saturday.

"There are some problems with the aircraft, in particular, as concerns the use of air-launched cruise missiles. We are actively working on this now, and I believe we will eliminate these in the near future," Konovalov said.
