Follow the link to learn moreThe Kremlin expressed regret in relation to the remarks of U.S. presidential candidate Jeb Bush which concern President Vladimir Putin.
"We would not want this country, or bilateral relations between Russia and the USA, to be sacrificed to the election rivalry, used as an offering in the course of election debates. One can only express regret in this context," Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists on Dec. 21.
"Putin consistently advocates the interests of the Russian Federation throughout the world," he said.
U.S. Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush said during a presidential debate that he does not see Putin as an ally of the United States, and expressed regret that the U.S. is losing influence around the world while Russia is gaining influence.
