Follow the link to learn moreThe head of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign affairs, Elmar Brok, has said he hopes it will be possible to fulfill the Minsk agreements and relieve Russia of the sanctions before March 2016, he said in an interview with Interfax.
"That is in your and our interests to have better relations [with Russia]," he said.
"The question of Ukraine is the biggest obstacle at the moment" in the EU relations with Russia, Brok added.
"We have a clear joint plan which is agreed on in the Normandy format between the four leaders. That means that the implementation of Minsk would mean the end of the sanctions that are connected to that. Hopefully, we will manage to achieve it until March [2016]," he said.
