Over 200 tonnes of food and medications were delivered to the Syrian town of Deir ez-Zor besieged by terrorists of ISIS in humanitarian aid in January, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
"In the course of the humanitarian operation conducted by the Russian Armed Forces in the Syrian Arab Republic, more than 200 tonnes of food and medications were delivered in January to the city of Deir ez-Zor besieged by the militants of ISIS," Konashenkov told reporters on Feb. 1
The cargo was delivered by military transport aviation of the Syrian air force with Russian parachute platforms P-7, he added.
