Follow the link to learn moreThe Russian Foreign Ministry offered condolences to the Turkish people on Wednesday's terrorist attack in Ankara in a statement circulated on Feb. 18.
"In the wake of a terrorist attack committed in Ankara on February 17, we express our heartfelt condolences to the Turkish people. We sincerely sympathize with the relatives and beloved ones of the dead and wish those injured in this monstrous act the soonest possible recovery," says the Foreign Ministry's statement available on its website.
"There can be no justification for the barbaric crime," and "its organizers and instigators must be held responsible for what they have done," it said.
"This incident has yet again highlighted the need for all countries to consolidate in fighting international terrorism," the ministry said.
