Follow the link to learn moreTwo new coastal defense missile systems called "Bastion" have arrived at the Russian Navy's Northern Fleet (NF), NF spokesman 1st Captain Vadim Serga told Interfax-AVN on Feb. 21.
"The NF's separate missile artillery brigade has begun rearming itself with a new coastal defense missile system, the Bastion. The personnel operating this system completed a special training course," the spokesman said.

Already during this training period, the Bastion crews will conduct the first live fire drills using maritime targets installed in combat-training ranges of the Barents Sea, he said.
"Until recently, it was the Rubezh and Redut missile systems that formed the basis of the brigade's combat power," Serga said.
