Follow the link to learn moreThe Syrian moderate opposition has received an invitation to a new round of negotiations in Geneva; the Kurds may join the negotiations from a day other than the first, Qadri Jamil, a representative of the opposition group Moscow-Cairo, said.
"Yes, we have received a verbal invitation," he told reporters on Feb. 29, responding to a question as to whether his delegation will go to the new round of negotiations in Geneva.
He added that a decision on Syrian Kurds' participation in the negotiations should be made "in the foreseeable future."
"I think that the truce will last because there is no other way out for anyone: the regime, the opposition, Russia and the United States," he told.
"We have reached a point when the truce is a step towards the resolution of the Syria crisis. This is not a game," Jamil said.
