Talks in progress with leaders of six armed units in Syrian provinces

The preliminary truce agreements have been reached with the elders of six localities in the Damascus province in the past 24 hours, the talks continue with the leaders of six armed units in the provinces Damascus, Daraa and Homs, the Russian Center for reconciliation between the warring parties in Syria said.

Meanwhile, the number of localities, in which the application lists on the cessation of hostilities were signed, remained unchanged - 42, says an information bulletin, which was posted on the Russian Defense Ministry's website on March 6.

"A total of 30 application lists on the cessation of hostilities were signed with the leaders of the illegal armed groups," it reads.

The Russian Reconciliation Center is receiving requests from representatives of the opposition forces, in which they say they want to participate in the process of discussing a new Syrian constitution, the military agency also said.
