Vladivostok-based Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) is planning to create an international archeological laboratory to study the history of the Pacific nations that existed several thousand years ago, Sputnik News reported.
“This network project will bring together scientists from Russia, Ecuador, the Philippines, Japan and several other Pacific countries, “ the website cited an official from FEFU as saying in a press note.
“The laboratory will enable them to more quickly and effectively exchange the results of their research in order to coordinate their approaches to studying development vectors of historical processes in the Asia-Pacific region.”
The projects aims to compare human adaptation to the environment in the Pacific coast of Asia and South America, FEFU Education Director Alexander Popov told the website.
Ecuador’s Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) and the University of the Philippines have expressed willingness to work in the network laboratory, according to the report.
