Demand for Russian coal will notably rise in the Asia-Pacific region, Russia Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on April 4. He added that by 2030, demand from Asia could match that from Europe.

“By 2030 our supplies to the East and to the Atlantic areas will reach the same level,” he said at a meeting on the development of the coal industry.
