Follow the link to learn moreGreek Deputy Foreign Minister Ioannis Amanatidis has spoken in favor of a prompt decision on the lifting of the EU sanctions from Russia and said Greek-Russian trade relations have a lot of potential.
"Our ministry has its own position on this matter and we want this issue to be resolved in the nearest future," he told Interfax, responding to a question as to whether Greece will speak in favor of lifting the sanctions at the EU summit in June.
"We still have time before the summit and we think the situation will develop positively in the course of this time," Amanatidis said.
He emphasized that Greece and Russia "have a lot of potential in trade, in export of Greek products and commodities to Russia.
