Russia and China have established a joint venture company that will construct a bridge over the Amur River connecting Blagoveshchensk with Heihe, Kommersant reports.
Construction work on the bridge will commence in April and is expected to cost 18.8 billion rubles ($266 million), the paper said.
Blagoveshchensk and Heihe, which are part of a Sino-Russian free trade zone, are connected by daily ferry services. The new bridge will facilitate road and railway traffic.
