Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who has tendered his resignation, will not be remembered for making an input in the settlement of the crisis in the southeastern Ukraine, but Moscow still expects Kiev to meet its obligations under the Minsk agreements, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said.
"So to say, Mr. Yatsenyuk will not be remembered for his large contribution to the normalization of relations between our countries or any input in the settlement of the Ukraine crisis, I mean the situation in the southeast," Peskov told reporters on April 11.
"It is actually important to us that the Minsk agreements are signed by the head of state, and we still hope that Kyiv will perform the obligations it has undertaken," Peskov said.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk on April 10 said he decided to resign from the post of Ukrainian prime minister.
