Follow the link to learn moreThe Russian Defense Ministry has refuted foreign media reports that ISIS terrorists shot down an aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
"The reports of a Qatari TV company about an aircraft from the Russian Aerospace Forces allegedly shot down by ISIS terrorists in the area of Al-Raqqah, Syria, are a media provocation," Defense Ministry spokesman, Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov told the press on Thursday.
The aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces "did not operate in the area today, on April 14,"he said.
"All of the warplanes from the Russian aviation grouping in Syria are at Hmeimim airbase," the general said.
